Meet Our Team

Our Background

APT Corporate Training Services (APTCTS) is part of the APT Global (APT) family. APTCTS represents the non-credit side of Electric Power and Telecommunications training and consulting services. Please refer to APT College (www.aptc.edu) for information regarding our degree programs.

The APT Global family was founded in 1993 by Steven W. Blume to offer electric power and telecommunications training to people who are eager to stay current with technology, promote in their careers by enhancing their knowledge, skill and abilities, or are simply interested in these growing high tech industries. APT offers career-oriented courses, professional certificates and college degrees. APT also provides corporate services such as Job Task Analysis, Gap Analysis of training programs to industry best practices, and consulting services to bring a Systematic Approach to Training needed to assure a companys training programs comply with industry expectations.


MISSION STATMENT

The mission of APT is to provide industry leading certificate and associate degree programs in Telecommunications, Electric Power, and Renewable Energy to industry and entry-level personnel through distance learning and in combination with in-residency modalities. APT is committed to service excellence and to helping students advance their educational and professional goals.

In 2003 APT became a Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) accredited institution that is recognized by the US Dept. of Education (DOE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). In March 2004 APT became recognized by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) as a continuing education provider who adheres to NERC Continuing Education Program Criteria. In 2012, the APT Global family was created to keep up with its mission statement. Since the institutions inception, APT has gained the reputation as being the premier technical training provider for telecommunications, electric power, and renewable energy training.

Steven S Blume

APT Founder having a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Power, a graduate minors Degree in Managerial Sciences, and a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Telecommunications

Sheryl Kinzel

the Executive Director of Operations, is a recognized industry professional with over 30 years of management experience with AT&T in labor relations, human resources and remittance processing

Cheryl Dodds

Director of Accounting and Administration, is an inactive Certified Public Accountant with over 20 years of managerial experience in accounting, budgeting, finance, benefits and payroll, human resources and cash management.

Gabriela Maeillo

Director of Academics, holds a PhD and a Laureate Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rome "La Sapienza", Italy. Dr. Maiello has worked in the telecommunications field for 10 years since leaving the University of Rome.
